‘Kadak Singh’ is a unique story that blends different aspects of a person’s life. It starts with their son going to the hospital, which is a sign that something wonderful is about to happen in their lives. Srivastava’s life is associated with a fundamental transformation, which unfolds through his family, friends, and peer teammates.

It is shown through his family and Sakshi that he as Kadak Bapu has barely managed to maintain cordial relations with his children and family. Also, a new perspective is shown in the life of his adult daughter Sakshi, who attempts to remind him of the importance of his existence.

In the rest of the film, three other sides of Srivastava are also introduced, in the form of Arjun, Sri Tyagi, and Naina. Through these characters, we get a unique introduction to the different perspectives and moments of Srivastava’s life, which support his nature and struggles.

Minus points

Amnesia’ is a unique story that attempts to solve a case, but due to some shortcomings in the director’s skills, the film’s full potential cannot be realized.

Due to issues with the script, the director loses control of the narrative in the second half, resulting in lackluster visuals. Attempts to infuse intrigue and climax into the patient’s story lead to dull and unexciting scenes instead of excitement.

The casting is a positive aspect, but the director fails to properly utilize the talent of lead actor Pankaj Tripathi. Despite his brilliant performance ability, he is given a role unrelated to the story, leaving the audience with many unanswered questions.

Regarding the background music, the music used in tense scenes feels inappropriate and contributes to a sense of melancholy. The composer’s artistry has not been utilized properly, making it difficult to convey the emotions of the scenes effectively.

‘Amnesia’ delves into a world of unique aspects through its collected stories, but due to some flaws in its direction, the film fails to completely impress the audience.

Technical aspects

Anirudh Roy Chowdhury is determined to express his passion and directorial skills to the fullest, but he struggles to effectively convey his story. The first half succeeds in highlighting his unique perspective, but the second half lacks pace and struggles to maintain the conflict.

The musical experience fails to meet expectations and falls short of engagement at various points. There was potential to present a diverse and innovative musical, but the execution did not enhance the updated and catchy storyline.

Regarding cinematography, it is satisfactory, but the editing in the latter half could have been more dynamic. Additional action could have been incorporated in certain scenes to inject freshness and intensity.

If Anirudh Roy Chowdhury can address these challenges in his future projects, we will have the opportunity to witness his growth and artistic approach.

Yomovies Conclusion

Kadak Singh’ offers a thrilling experience with commendable performances from Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjana Sanghi. However, the film’s pacing issues, particularly in the second hour, can leave viewers feeling frustrated and bored.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s direction may also pose a natural challenge as he struggles to balance the film’s pace and thriller elements. Additionally, shortcomings in the quality of the film score might further diminish the overall audience enjoyment.

Considering this, it may be wise to explore alternative entertainment options this weekend. There are numerous charming and intriguing tales available in various forms that could offer fresh and exciting experiences to audiences.
